We had dogs on the farm and whey would bring the cows in in the evening. . We never brought the dogs in the house, although they could use the barn when they wanted to. We allowed them to be "DOGS". We did not treat them as children which is unfair to them as they want to be dogs which is not neglecting them. They loved to run the property and play. It is really weird to hear owners talk to the dog like they are human, pull them on a leash, pick up after them and so on. They are dogs and want to be treated like dogs. They want to run free, be petted, fed, being outdoors, not dressed up like they are some form of a child. Children want to be children and dogs want to be dogs.
