You can now. Have you seen the The Villages properties complete with horse corral (or whatever they call it). We visited the area a couple years ago on a Segway tour. Not a clue as to exactly where it was.

Villagers who have been waiting to have horses on their property or fresh eggs for breakfast had their wish come true. Chatham Acres, seven five-acre parcels off of SE Highway 42 at a cost for the property starting in the $500,000’s (2017 dollars). Chickens may be permitted if continuously contained within a chicken coop approved by the Developer. 
This guy we saw coming out of the drive-up at Chick-Fil-A must be one of the owners.
