We rented our cottage unfurnished long term for 10 years. Each year we spent a day emailing at least 20 people we had a new tenet. Long term unfurnished is hard to come by and easy to rent.

Those who have negative comments must have zero experience with long term unfurnished. No cash out lay for anything, renter in place for a year, and in our experience, some renewed, more than once.

Just sold the home, nothing had to be replaced including flooring. Best thing we ever did as a rental
