Because it is not. HID is a specific type of format. There are hundreds of cards on the market that are not HID compatible. Those generally need to be physically touched or inserted into to the reader like in a hotel entry door.. Many of the readers and cards you see on Amazon ands other sources are NOT compatible with this system.
