The distance and height of the throw is the least of your problems. As a pro, I really don't like stationary heads. They are trip hazards and targets for the lawn care folks. Also, lawn heads put out say, 1/4" in 15 minutes. That's not near enough for a pot. TVT has the right idea, install a drip connection. But to be done properly, it should be on it's own zone, so you can install a pressure regulator (drip and bubblers should be under 25 psi), and adjust the time. If you have an existing drip system, you could easily tap in to that and adjust the bubbler for the right amount of water.
