I got up this morning to once again see my street soaked from all the neighbors sprinklers.

It is also a shame that only certain homes are allowed "Florida Friendly Landscaping" and we are forced to waste billions of gallons of water on this weird looking St. Augustine grass.

Weren't most of us members of the generation who founded Earth Day and cared what happened to our planet? So much for those principles as we drive our polluting gas guzzling SUV (& cart) and waste precious resources such as water. That's OK though, who cares about the world our grandchildren will inherit!

“The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations.” – John Paul II

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
Many houses use recovered water for irrigation but my house does not so I have my sprinklers on as little as possible as I don’t want the water running down the street. This is more for saving money than saving water. I am going to continue to drive my gas cart and my F350 without worrying about it.
