To the folks who like to break things and put them into the garbage - The glass in CRTs usually have about 15-25% lead oxide which is toxic. Yes, it is part of the glass but any time you break glass, it is possible to create some fine particles which can then land on surfaces around the area where you are working (if not in your lungs). Even if you sweep it up, do you really want that going to a landfill? Please try to find a place that will recycle the glass appropriately.
