Most I talk to feel the opposite but steam Hollywood Movies and watch the NFL. It’s not my show I’ll let the Morse family decide.
Personally we haven’t been to a Villages Theater in 2 years, completely satisfied with streaming. Hold button, rewind, bathroom within 20 feet, soda, beer, wine in the fridge.

Good post. The traditional Hollywood movie is facing enormous competition from streaming services. Which produce their own movies and have the advantage of making a whole series or even several seasons of a series. Sometimes a story needs more time to be told comprehensively than can be done in the 2 hours or less typical Hollywood movie.
..... and I find that so-called "2nd string" actors are just as good as the big buck "superstars". Take, for example, JJ Abrams in "Counterpart" - he was perfect in that role - could DiCaprio have made that series any better - I don't think so! Take Josh Brolin in Prime's "Outer Range" - he is perfectly believable in his role as are all the other actors in that series. It is the writers and directors that make a good movie or series. A superstar actor just means that it will be a big-budget movie.
