Where is the scam occurring at. The roofing company inspects a homeowners roof and finds damage. Is this the scam? I don't think so.
The Homeowner based on this inspection, reports the damage and files a claim. Is this the scam? Nope.
The insurance company sends a adjuster out and they either agree or disagree with the roofing company. If agrees, Homeowner gets a new roof, if disagrees, a suit is filed to let the courts decide if this is a legitimate claim.
So far I do not see a scam in play here. The only thing I see is a few roofing companies being very aggressive in seeking out homeowners with damaged roof, so far not against the law.
They actually are doing a service for the Homeowners as without their inspection, the Homeowner would not know their roof was damaged to a point it needed replacement.
Neither the roofing company nor the Homeowner has created the loss, it is what it is, so where is the scam???
