So you are disagreeing with someone about the cost of golf — that is your prerogative.
But to use a tragic disease as a tool of mockery is beyond thoughtless. The smug, cold, calculating allusion to the statement from the Alzheimer’s Association is an attempt to be funny, I guess. But not only is it obnoxious, it is cruel. Many here probably know someone who is saying, “The Long Goodbye.” There is nothing funny about it.
Then a bunch of posters line up underneath the post to say, “Thank you.” ???
A line has been crossed. That was not wit. That was completely out of bounds.
