Many, (and I mean many) years ago living with my parents, they had a plumber come to the house and replace some washers/seals in leaking faucets.
To lube the seals and threads the plumber used Vaseline.
Wouldn't Vaseline deteriorate those seals over time?
Anyone know?
I been using Vaseline on the threads on my garden hose.
Here's one place from goggle not to use Vaseline:
Do not use petroleum jelly with condoms—it can break down the condom so it gets holes in it.
