I’ve have the same experience at my neighborhood pool with people coming to ours because they’re more comfortable at it than their own.
But I must say it does take time to assimilate into a new group anywhere, not just at pools.
Plus you have to reach out, and not just once and give up after one negative experience.
Since I’ve lived here I can say a few of my good
friendships were developed by spending mutual pool time!
Nice if you have your own private pool, but I’d be missing out on getting to know people and their experiences from various parts of the country and even other countries!
