As I read through this post, lets not get confused that yamaha does not charge there carts at a steady rate like club car and ezgo.
It generally goes from high 14 to 16 volts and goes back and forth. If you see this as the lights get brighter and then dimmer this is the issue. Yamahas can be modified to charge at a steady 14.5 volts, but most repair shops dont know how to do it.
