You'd have to go down into the Everglades (and the southwest corner of it at that) to find a wild population of American Crocodiles. I've seen one at the northwest corner of the Everglades but the rangers there think she was captured at the southeast end, kept for a few years and released where she's at now when she outgrew the ability of the captor to keep her any longer.
