More visits is better than less. Give yourself some time. However, is there really a question about getting out of New York and moving to Florida? Weather, Traffic, cost of living, Taxes and escaping the stupid politics in New York makes it a no brainer to me. Wisconsin is way better than NY and I still can't wait to head south in a few years. I will have a lot of company
