Not true. There is no legal requirement for a service animal to wear a vest. Also, there is no requirement for a person with a service animal to provide any documentation or proof that the animal is a service animal. The only thing that the owner needs to do is to say that the animal is trained to perform a service for the owner. That is all that the Federal law requires. And, the animal does not even need to be trained by anyone other than the owner of the animal.
