Just two thoughts,
1. Tax deduction I always make a list of what I give and then have the person sign that they recieved it at the charity thrift store. You can't do that if you use a drop off. I have been audited for my deductions before and having a signed and dated reciept helped alot.
2. When I used turbo tax it has a nice little calculator for the value of shirts skirts et all. It is now available online for free I think.
It called its deductable. You have to set up an account. they hope you will then do your taxes with Turbo tax , but you don't have to, just use the tool.
I haven't used it yet as I printed out the sheet from previous years taxes and used that, but I noticed it existed.
