Is it wrong to use 8 other regular members for the request, then sub him on the reservation for someone (oh, surprise, Tom's arm is still broken so he won't be playing) that we likely knew was not going to make it? Technically, it probably is. Morally, I really kinda doubt it.

As I do not play yet I do not know the answer to this question.
If you book for 8 and only 7 show up to play, why is that an issue? Why do you have to add someone?
