Why should anyone give a hoot what someone else does with their body? It's their arm, leg, head or whatever. If they screw it up, they have to live with it. I don't see anybody complaining about other people's tattoos, tongue studs, nose rings, piercings, etc. Personally, I think they are ugly. But it's their body, their life, and if they enjoy it, then "C'est la vie"!

I was born before the tattoo generation. Some tattoos are cringe-worthy. And people ACTUALLY pay money for them. I watched them come into fashion with GREAT surprise. When I was young, you only saw tattoos on drunken, lonely sailors. Fashion can be strange sometimes, I guess.
