The only store south of 44 is the Publix at Magnolia. There is another Publix just north of 44 at Lake Deaton Plaza. Publix is notoriously expensive.

I would think that the first discount grocery store (Walmart, Aldi, Lidl, Costco), down in the "new section" would have a monopoly. People would flock there.

They would until they get competition. Would love to see a lidl here but think that is years away
