It could be that the rental places don't know that the teens are being turned loose with the carts. I cannot imagine that they would rent the carts to them, anyway. In any event, they need to know that this is happening and the only way is for someone to tell them. Too many parents just don't take the time to explain to them that they are not toys. (Of course, some of the parents and grandparents haven't figured that out, either.) Thank goodness, you didn't get hit and hurt. This is what could end up costing us the privilege of cart travel and that would be a shame. TV also needs to be made aware of this as it could definitely affect sales, etc. We lose the carts and many won't buy and many would leave.
