How about when it's 37 degrees in February?
White sneakers are always the exception!
Why yes or Why not?

No, it doesn’t hold true even in Florida unless you are among a group of fastidious elderly ladies living in high rise condos on the beach in Miami and dreaming of shopping again in NYC while their husbands salt away millions on Wall Street. The same people who make rules against wearing golf shirts and shorts and caps unless you are actually on the golf course. They also say women should never wear leggings instead of pants, and no one should wear clothing advertising brands or with “clever” says on them, and many more. We are in The Villages. It’s thoroughly middle-class, sometimes with delusions of grandeur. It’s about comfort here, golfing, drinking, dining, dancing, being free of lots of social rules. Especially the stupid rule about when you can wear white. But one thing I ask you not to ever do is get a tattoo. I’ve never seen a tattoo as attractive as the skin underneath it. If you need to remember a name or date or wise saying in some foreign language, don’t get a tattoo so you don’t forget. Put it in needlepoint and hang it on your wall.
