As Mark Twain once said, there are three kinds of untruths: "lies, damned lies, and statistics". Numbers can be manipulated so that they say anything you want them to say. A great example from some years back; Texas was routinely castigated for being the capital punishment center of the known universe. It was one of those "truths" that you just accepted without discussion--until it was pointed out that, on a per capita basis, the state with the highest execution rate was not Texas at all but DELAWARE.
Climate change "data" is no different. You juggle and twist the numbers enough, you can get them to "prove" anything you want.

This is so true. I can make a graph that shows climate change has a direct correlation to teachers salaries.
