The really scary thing here is that anyone would think cruise control on a golf cart is a good idea. Cars that have cruise control have built in safety features. In your car if you are to close to another car or object it automatically disengages. Too many people walking biking or skating on the mmps to use cruise control. This falls under the not so common common sense rule. OP should just drive his wife on long trips in the cart. Problem solved. After all men are better drivers anyway. (Joking) lol
