No significance to the number of poles, simply trying to narrow the pathway and draw attention.

North of 44 most paths are open to carts, bicycles, and pedestrians. Occasionally a path might be closed to carts and the pole will have wording to that effect. (Lake Sumter near Winn Dixie for example)

South of 44 many of the paths are bicycle and pedestrian only (no carts). There *might* be a correlation between what is allowed and the number of poles but it would be better to look for a sign or marking on the pole.

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.
