This is a question really directed to those who actually have moved to the newer areas. Do you think these newer villages will ever have as strong a focus on golf cart mobility as the older areas have?
I understand that as the newer areas have been built, not all of the amenities have yet been developed, but as they are, and when they are, do you anticipate those areas being as much of a golf cart community as the villages north of 44?
Hmmm. Not sure how it wouldn’t be considered a golf cart community. There’s no place in The Villages that we can’t get to in our carts. Yes our area is certainly focused on outdoor activities with all of the walking/biking paths. Ezell even has an outdoor circuit course with exercise equipment. But we still have dedicated MMP’s along all the main roads. Several tunnels to get under the busier ones. And of course one bridge over the turnpike with another under construction.

As far as getting away from being a golf community. I can’t say that’s true either. I’m not a golfer but I know there are already 4 or 5 courses. There’s another at least five either under construction or planned for the area between the turnpike and 470.

As far as amenities, we have the standard mix of stuff that they have up north. Then we have some extras like a remote control car race track. Remote control boar lake with a dock. An area set up for stargazing complete with powered telescope pads.

It might be considered that we’re a little light on shopping options. That might be true for some people but we’re six minutes to Lake Deaton Plaza. Seven minutes to Magnolia Plaza and 17 minutes to UFH Hospital in Leesburg.

I’m enjoying my life down here a lot.
