Some of my favorite people are doctors, and I have a lot of respect for them. I think that I would have asked the doctor to qualify his reasoning a bit more than just a "yes" or "no" answer. He may have had specific reasons to get vaccinated, unrelated to your situation. I am not saying that I disagree with you. Seems like there were a lot of medical professionals that refused the vaccination. Might be interesting to know WHY they refused. I only got my original shots hoping that I would be protecting my spouse. Since I now know that the shots do not prevent infection (which they suggested in the beginning) and since we have both survived infection twice with minor symptoms, we have decided not to subscribe to the booster shots. That's just us. I am in no way suggesting anyone else make that decision.

The point, is that he's a) a doctor who is more likely to actually KNOW whether it's safe enough to take than someone who isn't a doctor, b) he was willing to be vaccinated, c) he felt safe enough to be a doctor who spends hours every day getting "up close and personal" with dozens of people who might or might not already be infected and contagious, d) he felt secure enough to know that his being vaccinated meant he
reduced the risk of getting one of his own patients infected, and e) he was still alive and well and healthy enough to be my doctor at my appointment.
