To me, having spent decades in So Cal, they look like ugly weeds that present a huge fire hazard. They are like big dead dandelions on the landscape.
I was 5 years old when the "charm" of exotic and sunny paradises filled with palm trees ended and the "charm" of big, 20 to 80 foot weeds began. Some people love 'em, some hate 'em, and some don't care at all. I'm in between not caring at all and hating them.

When is the last time one of them caught fire in TV?
