Reposting from a topic from 3 days ago. The same applies for today. It's all due to damaged infrastructure from the hurricane. Comcast does't "produce" it's own internet. The data comes off of the national backbone through WIRES into Comcast data centers then out on WIRES to local areas. Had a few short outages today as well as some cable signal issues. If you log into your account, you will likely see a "we are aware of outages in your area ....." message. If you have a 3rd party cable modem you can likely even see your incoming signal sometimes drop off.

Edit: rebooting your modem when it's a data issue doesn't matter unless it's just a coincidence. There can be plenty of signal but no data.

This was posted over the past weekend but remains the same and may for some time.

Over the last few days it was out numerous times. Today, as of 10PM, was the first 100% uptime day since the storm. How about the other ~20% of Florida who have no service and those with no homes to get service? I guess we tend to be a bit spoiled.
