Much truth to that.
Pre-retirement, our Victim - Witness Advocate was Jeanne, a 30-ish woman who I got to know pretty well as she and I shared several clients. Very good at her job. She was also very attractive and dressed in a manner that emphasized that. Always within bounds, though, as she spent a lot of time in court and the judge was a stickler for decorum.
The amazing thing was how a lot of the other women (not all, but a lot) saw Jeanne. Her work didn't matter to them. What she looked like, did, and from the remarks by some of the other women I overheard or were made to me, it was not entirely complimentary. I never quite understood that.
