So, if one does not get the booster, THEY are "selfish?" How about YOU (not aimed at anyone) get the booster and quit worrying about what others are doing? If you are still scared of catching the virus, then you don't have much confidence in the booster, so why should anyone else get it? If you are worried about catching the virus, then where a mask whenever you go out, as if that is going to help you. I know a retired nurse that wears a mask EVERYWHERE when she leaves her home and she just recently recovered from covid infection. Wonder how that happened. She also had all her shots and boosters. Life isn't a guarantee. But, I will guarantee one thing, you don't get out of it alive. How are you going to feel if you intimidate someone into getting their booster shots and then find out that the last booster they had caused heart damage? I am not saying it does, and I am not suggesting that anyone fear getting their booster shots. I am not attempting to instill fear in anyone regarding vaccinations. There is a lot of fear caused by this man-made virus and folks need to be allowed to make their own decisions. I doubt anyone has a priority of getting vaccinated for the good of the whole. Other than those of us that are doing it for someone in our family; to protect them. If I thought that the serum was dangerous, why would I get it to protect a neighbor that I might not even know? It's not human nature to take that kind of chance. That's not being selfish. It's having common sense. Don't let your fear of this virus cause you to intimidate others to do something against their will.
I will continue to discuss the vaccinations with my family, but I will not encourage or discourage them from getting that particular vaccination. Same thing with the Flu vaccination. There are many of us that have never had the flu and feel that the yearly flu shot is not necessary for them, individually.
In my opinion, anyone that tries to sell us on their getting the covid vaccination purely for their neighbors, is being disingenuous. Likely as not, they are attempting to convince others to get the vaccination because they are scared. I did not get the vaccination for anyone other than my spouse. Personally, I doubt I would have gotten the vaccination if not for my concern for her health.
Get the boosters or don't get them, it doesn't matter to me. I have family members that wait in line for the next booster that might come out at any minute. I also have family that haven't gotten the first shot. It's their choice and I do not attempt to push them either way. If you allow fear to rule your life then you will live in fear. I've said this before, I am not anti-vaxx .I have vaccinations, other than the flu shot.
