Yes it sure is ! I doubt it will ever end. It's difficult at some neighborhood pools (not all pools) where the grassy area around the pool is used exclusively for dog excrement. Really hard to take on a hot summer day, but, the villages seems to have done it's best to provide the dog folks with dog parks. Most also have their own yards, so it is difficult to understand why these folks can just let their dog relieve themselves in their own front or back yards first, then take them on their trips to the squares, restaurants, and pools. Seems easy to remedy, but, obviously not. We had so many dogs for our children when they were growing up, sometimes two dogs at a time. Never once, not even one time, did we, or our children, take our dogs to a neighbor's yard, or to a stranger's yard several blocks away, to "deposit". The attitude at the villages was really an eye opener from other places we've lived. Watched a woman with two dogs last week. She walked two of them, and I notice she always picked it all up in plastic bags (large dogs sure fill those bags ). I watched and thought, well "at least" she has the decency to pick it UP...doesn't help the home owner much as the acid is deposited, but it looked better than leaving it all over like you mentioned at the squares (same thing at LSL..step carefully around the area by the ice cream shop, boat rides, etc.) Well, my relief that she was at least not leaving the excrement and suddenly I see her toss all 4 bags UNDER the bushes at the entrance to a villa area. Guess she didn't want to take those precious "gifts" (sorry for the sarcasm, but this is supposed to be all mature adults here, right ?) home to her own yard ? Rude people all around the world, we just seem to be a rude magnet here I guess ! ? Not going to let it ruin my life, but it's hard sometimes. Don't go barefoot or let your grand kids go barefoot around some of the pools... Bonnybrook is a major one to get a "surprise" in the grass. It seems to be an official dog park, so, no sense getting too upset, just have to live with it. Many people, including a relative of ours, can't bare to even go to the grocery for a couple items, or go fill the tank with gasoline, without their dog. Cat people seem to be able to leave their pets for a short time, able to shop without them, got to restaurants without them, but dog owners, like our relative, who does not have PTSD or any kind of condition, just feels it is unfair to leave her dog at home, so takes it everywhere. We don't understand why she can't even meet us at Culver's for an ice cream without the dog, but she says "his feelings would really be hurt, and he'd punish me for a week for ignoring him".... so ? what can you say ? Some one jokingly (I guess?) said, dog included and dog free villages would be a good idea, I chuckled, but maybe that would be a great choice for people ?
