Things like this irritate me.
I might have stood there for a couple hours arguing with her and saying how unhappy I was with the product she was selling and I would keep asking for my money back. During my diatribe, she would probably not make any sales.
In any confrontation, physical or verbal, the goal is to cause the other person more unhappiness than they cause you.
