You don't need to call Xfinity to switch a cable on the splitter in the garage panel box. You can do this yourself. Just unplug one cable and plug another one into the splitter to serve a different cable outlet. To watch cable TV channels, you need to rent a cable box from Xfinity for each TV. Their boxes are encrypted so that you cannot get the Xfinity channels from a non-Xfinity box. If you rent additional cable boxes for additional TVs, Xfinity may need to increase the signal strength entering your house. So, a house with 4 cable boxes may have a stronger signal than a house with only one cable box. Some people with cable TV don't realize that they don't even need internet service to watch cable TV, unless their cable boxes are wireless boxes.
