I put your question into bing. It pulled up city data that said 5.19 miles.
and US Census at 5.6 don't know why they differ maybe one doesn't include the area in the town of Lady Lake or is leaving out the lakes and wetlands

But if you look at a map and include the area they are developing, it looks longer than wide so not square and 5 miles not indicitive of drive from farthest south when finished to farthest north.
I decided that if I lived way south and was going to be out and about all the time I would need the extended range batteries or a solar roof on my golf cart.
