To some it is really important. I'm not sure how I would feel but thankfully I have seen no such signs in my neighborhood.

As for the holiday decorations (and anything else really) READ YOUR RESTRICTIONS! Mine includes the phrase, "except for seasons[sic] displays not exceeding a thirty (30) day duration."

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
