Walk

A couple days ago, we went to DeLuna to check out the new walking trail. We parked at the postal station and walked south along Marsh Bend Trail for a couple hundred yards, and then took the path that goes along the concrete drainage canal. The canal was pretty grungy with a lot of debris in it, but I bet the residents will complain and it will be cleaned up.
After we got past the grungy part, the walk was very good and some of the homes across the canal were very impressive. The trail then left the canal and turned toward the power lines. There was a beautiful lake and we could see the older houses which were there before TV came in. The houses had large grassy areas and we could see some horse trailers, so those owners obviously know how to enjoy life.
The trail went along the power lines for awhile and it was much nicer than walking along the power lines in Marsh Bend and St. Catherine. TV had put in some very nice landscaping and we thought it was beautiful.
The trail then crossed over Marsh Bend Trail and went along the power lines toward Route 301. Then the trail went to the right and passed by a swamp area that was much prettier than the natural areas we see walking on the trails in Bradford and St. Catherine. After awhile, the trail forked and the left fork went north, but the TV map didn't show where it goes and we were getting tired, so we took the right fork which took us back to the postal station.
We walked on the trail around the postal station which had a beautiful view of a large swamp area, much nicer than many of the dull-looking water retention areas in TV.
Then we drove to Magnolia Plaza, shared a McDonalds two-cheeseburger meal, and drove to Sawgrass to see what was happening. At Sawgrass, we saw a LOT of golf carts parked in the grass along the MMP, which we think is great because it means there are fewer carts in the parking lot. Sawgrass was absolutely packed with people, mostly sitting side-by-side in their folding chairs and it was still an hour before the music was supposed to start. We had satisfied our curiosity, so we headed home.
We will definitely do the same walk and the McDonalds visit again. but probably leave out the Sawgrass part.

We live in DeLuna and the walking paths are awesome, though we ride bikes on them. Beautiful area in this village to see wildlife as well.
