To Southern people growing up in the last half of the 20th century the flag represented cultural pride and was not a racist symbol. It still isn’t. I love my country and all 50 states. I would die to save any or all today. There are many flags I do not like but in today’s world every cause has a flag. We have become accepting of different people and their causes. The Confederate flag has no cause today other than a movie prop for redneck pickup trucks or perhaps something for people to complain about. I suggest getting over it and being happy. I predict the flag will be gone in 3 months without a March on Richmond.
