I saw Dr Rao there. After his exam they scheduled an mri there for me and then cancelled because I had a pacemaker, sent me to Lake Imaging and had MRI. Had pre biopsy done and then they never called me back to tell me what time to come into office for biopsy. I called at 4pm day before biopsy and was told they forgot to call me and cancel biopsy because they could not us lake Image MRI (where they sent me). Lake Image MRI showed good possibilty of cancer, so I was upset. A week later I got call from Ocala's Advanced office manager who was very helpful getting me an MRI at Advent Health in Wesley Chapel where they could do biopsy. Had MRI done there on NEW 3T MRI machine and was told entire pelvis area was clear and did not need biopsy, as there was nothing to biopsy. After 2 months of thinking I had cancer, I was elated.
Told my primary care physician I would never go back there. Would prefer Advent Health in Tavares or Wesley Chapel who know what they are doing.

As someone that recently went thru 2 biopsy's and an MRI to determine if I have prostate cancer I can tell you DON'T TRUST THE MRI!!! I did a biopsy which showed a very small amount of prostate cancer on one of the samples. Had they taken a different angle or went slightly to the side of where they took that one sample I would have shown zero cancer cells. Well because the biopsy showed cancer I was told to do an MRI but was told MRIs aren't always accurate. The MRI showed a significant amount of cancer (supposedly) on the complete other side than the biopsy showed. Since that was odd, I had to go in for a more involved biopsy thru the perineum. That validated the original biopsy results and showed the MRI to be 100% incorrect. This was all done early this year at St Lukes in Pennsylvania prior to moving down. I'd trust a biopsy and would not trust an MRI.
