Have you heard about this one yet? Not on mains stream media you won't.
Included in the Obama health care reform bill is a "mandatory" requirement to sit with a government counselor to discuss end of life strategy.

I'll let your own imagination determine what you think that is all about. There are several articles floating around tagged seniors death sentence in the new health care reform. No doubt alarmist in nature, but forget that. Do some research and find the language stating there is going to be changes to the kind of treatment you will or will not get depending on your age and your health.

Think about it long and hard. You are a health 75 year old, super active resident of TV....you get a catastrophic disease (pick one)...today the goal is to prolong life....under the new plan it will be to deny treatment based on age and affordability.

Or how about that same catastrophic disease and the counselor decides you get medication that is not the latest and greatest to cure or attempy yo cure but keeps you comfortable....after all you are over 65 and going to die anyway.

These are just a couple of the "devils" in the details.

So that would or could be what you get under the standard plan. And as I have stated repeatedly, on your dime (self insure) or one of the many supplents that will spin off the new plan you can be treated the way you always used to be. Hence the rise in cost to those of us over 65.

I challenge those who support the new plan if they are over 65 and that they are prepared to become a lessor priority in the system.

Having gone through the harrowing process of my wife's breast cancer and the expense....I can not imagine in my best and most creative mode to be convinced to compromise the well being of a loved one under ANY future plan by the government.

As far as mandatory death counseling with some trained government stooge....it will never happen to me ot my wife. I would look forward to what the government thinks they can or would do to the throngs like me that would be ready to take their mandatory counseling and shove it!!!!

How can anybody with a clear thinking, responsible approach buy into such concepts.

I want to hear what wonderful, soothing smoke job words Obama would have to offer all of us over 65...just for entertainment not for any real evaluation....assuming I wouldn't get sick listening to the rhetoric .

Wake up silent majority over 65....you are about to be had!!!!!!!
