I'm in a new house and got my appliances from best buy. They installed both dishwasher and refrigerator but would not do it unless they first replaced the plastic valves with the metal ones at a charge of $80 each. A Villages plumber told me that the big box stores have had problems with after installation leaks using the plastic valves so they no longer permit their installers to use them.
