I read many of the responses and there are good workable suggestions. Just so you know what works for us, we have a lantana (the reason I looked at this post), and we have very good WIFI throughout the house (confirmed by guests we just had in that front bedroom). We have a Comcast combination modem/router on our kitchen counter (in the corner by the stove). We added what Comcast calls a POD for $127.44 to the small hallway just outside that front bedroom (plugs into outlet). We have their 300 Mbps service. Good luck!
