collie1228. I used to travel to Asia many times a year as well, but also did the Europe trip about the same amount. What I found worked best for me was to get on the long leg of the flight, Chicago to Hong Kong or San Fran to Sydney, or Washington to Frankfurt, depending on where I was headed, determine the time zone I was going sleep hours, and take an ambien so I was sleeping during the arrival time zone sleep hours. Same coming home. Coming from Europe to US, I would force myself to not sleep on the plane. That worked best for me. I remember a trip from Washington to KL where I was up the entire trip, got there at 6:00 AM, went to an 8:00 AM meeting and promptly fell asleep. From then on I did the sleep on the trip based on new time zone sleep time and never had another problem. Also am a never take pills person, so one ambien prescription of 30 tablets lasted me a year.
