Have them up north, and love stacked units. Our washer stayed in original space, with a 7 inch riser, so little bending down to retrieve clothes. Dryer also sits on 7" stack, and great height to get clothes in and out. Best buy installed so no issues, with switching to stack. Ordered new cabinet to match old one, easy install

Storage wise we gained lot of room. We have 10' ceiling, so small cabinet moved over top of stack. Keeping lightbulbs, and things we hardly use. The new floor cabinet is the size of a pantry with double doors slide out lower shelves, and goes to ceiling. We doubled our cabinet space, and used the old cabinet over our utility sink.

Very easy to do, all 3 of new w&d units were stackable if we chose. Looks very organized, and definitely user friendly

Will repeat process at our next home.
