I believe the creator of this thread-- Kenswing-- used to do something like the job portrayed in the new series Fire Country. My older brother did that for a Summer or more as a teen when he got sent to grow up in Austin, Nevada because he got in way too much trouble in Reno, Nevada. He was on a fire fighting crew but also doing very menial jobs like cleaning portable potties.
