OP, depending on the time of year, the Grand Ole Opry has had two locations with the winter season at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown and other times at its venue near the Gaylord Resort out of downtown.
Also, as suggested, if you enjoy country music, you might walk downtown on Broadway among the many bars that have free country music performers. Many of these country bands have a lot of talent and are hoping to be ‘discovered’.
Nashville is a lot of fun.
