That's what makes the Directv Stream a great option when you use their box. It uses a standard directv remote with numeric buttons. My channel package is still the same and about $100 less than when I had the directv dish, dvr, etc. and I still have dvr capability (using cloud storage) with this stream package. You can see the little box here: Directv Stream

I looked at going to youtube tv but it was missing some channels that we sometimes watch. Finding another package for those channels was more $ and added another service to scroll through. Having been a directv customer since 1998, we were used to their channel numbers, the menus, etc and I decided to try their stream option. Very satisfied with our choice. They were selling refurb boxes for about $50. DO NOT BUY one off of eBay. Directv stream did an update on their boxes last summer and if a box didn't get the update then, it is now a brick and is being sold on eBay to unknowing customers. There are no contracts so you could sign up for a month, buy the refurb and test the waters. Be sure to sign up online so that you can get the unlimited dvr.
