As the ultra-liberal wing(?) of the Democrat Party continues to dig themselves deeper in the hole of public approval and the gap between the relatively few moderate Dems and their "leadership" continues to grow into a chasm, would you take away their biggest shovel? Every time Pelosi opens her mouth, another independent/moderate regrets his/her Obama vote and looks toward the GOP. Every time she exercises her rather heavy-handed direction toward the less radical, non union-owned members of her caucus, another solid Dem vote moves closer to the Blue Dogs.
