Bose sucks, not worth the price they cost. $3000 isn’t that much to spend on headphones, I have audio cables that are 8’ long that cost more than that. There are some speaker cables that are over $30,000 a pair, and if you sp nd $800,000 on speakers, you will want these better cables.
Go out and listen to a nice system. Very nice 2 channel stereo systems can cost $1M-$2M, I’ve heard them.
In bigger cities, we have audiophile clubs that get together regularly to listen to each others systems.
