First, really good to have more choices in TV for short game practice.
Richmond was very nice. Loved the rolling hills and contoured greens. And of course in great shape. Much more “challenging” than Marshview.
Nice little addition for those who prefer tees off the mats, there are small plastic tees holders for Left or Right inset into the mats. A few holes had three different mats for the holes over 100yards. Much of the course is close and adjacent to the Pike, so… noise. Nice that every green had arrow signs directing to next hole.
The only “Bad” IMO was only a few benches along the course. But the main negative was that the course, 18 holes is laid out where #9 is very far away from the starter and parking lot. So unlike Marshview if you want to play only 9 and you’re back to the Shack — you’re out of luck and need to walk all the way back. We did just that, as two of us were not feeling well. Hassle. Long walk back but now we know.
Other than that the course is great fun.

Agree. We played there yesterday for first time. Other problem was very very slow group two holes in front of us. Had 3 different foursomes meeting up on hole behind them. They were clueless apparently that they were holding up play significantly. We finally walked around them up to next hole. 5 open holes in front of them! I get that Pitch n Putt courses are great for beginners, but please pay attention and pick up and skip a hole or two when you are that slow. At least one player (that we saw) would dribble it off the tee, go get it and tee off again, lining up show for about 2 minutes. I suspect more than 1 was doing this.
Maybe it would help if starter would tell people to notice if they are holding up play and what to do about it. Some people just don't know, especially if they are new golfers.
Especially agree about the lack of benches. When you are waiting for 10 minutes or more to tee off, you especially notice this.
